I do not want to bore anybody or harp on my woes anymore.....But these past couple of months have not been kind to me.....Nobody has a perfect life, and everybody has their own woes.....But for me it seems that things have come one after another.....It did start with Kevin's death....And I appreciate all the support I have gotten....It lifted me up.....But I have been living with pain on top of the emotional heartbreak....Oddly enough it happened shortly after Kevin's passing....Of course the body reacts differently to stress....My back and right hip started to give me trouble....I thought not much of it and thought it would pass.....But it did not and got progressively worse....To the point where I actually couldn't get out of bed and get dressed.....Went to the emergency room...Went to Docs....Final diagnosis is that I have spinal stenosis and some arthritis.....Why is it just so now bothering me.....Well some kind of major stressful event! What is YCH? The initials YCH stand for 'Your Character Here'. It's a special kind of commission where an artist creates a base/ pose/ scene featuring a stand-in figure for sale. This is often sold at a set price or set up for auction. Once it's sold, the buyer's character will be drawn in place of the stand-in figure. Here's an example from @MistMiav to illustrate this further, featuring the YCH auction on the left and the completed YCH featuring the buyer's character on the right. Are the line art/ bases for YCH commission open for use? No. Line art or bases that are part of a YCH commission offered by an artist are not bases that can be used by others either for free or for a fee. They are meant solely for the use of the original artist. Bases on DeviantArt that can be used by others (either for personal or commercial use) are usually titled or clearly marked as free to use (F2U/ FTU) or pay to use (P2U/ PTU) bases. Today we hear our borders in North America between great friends, Canada and USA will completely reopen soon to fully vaccinated people. I enjoy American Thanksgiving a lot because years ago when not being able to feed my own four young boys a turkey meal, no invitations to turkey dinners and no free turkey from charity, I made chicken soup and began to celebrate American thanksgiving as a turkey left over from so many turkeys to give away was given to our family in November. Years later, a huge party was held to celebrate American Thanksgiving and with my mother, now in late 80's and despondent from unpleasantries of those who cannot abide by aging, we flew and enjoy a weekend with grandsons, my three of four children and many friends. This year, I am fortunate to hear from two sons, and even do a video visit with a wee grandson, Cillian. I am close to my grandchildren and enjoy being their grandmother. Anniversary For Picking Up Empties

Seven years back, a daily walk for physical endurance caused me to believe in the exercise and value to picking up empty beverage containers. The activity is an income and set me on a new path of a new bank account, travel funds, and even a new laptop. A colleague in this business, George, is a VietNam veteran and helps me to tutor a South Korean Mom in authentic conversation under my tutoring relationship. So I learn alot about George, and we become friends. On this recent Thanksgiving Monday, as I am in my 6 km walk up and down hills too, I spot a large empty haul in an alley, and decide to visit this spot on my return. As it goes, the haul is still in place and I stop to sort and pack up in my large bag in my backpack. Across the lane, a mature couple are putting up a portable car shelter, and the lady asks me if I need a bag. I answer, "Great." The lady walks towards me shortly, and first hands me a $20 CAD with a "Happy Thanksgiving". You are so kind is in my few brief

As I in past went through some similar events, one opportunity I discovered in my local paper was an invitation to attend Chronic Pain Self Management, and then as I had had a serious arthritic attack I qualified for Arthritis Self Management group, and found really terrific help with others; so much so that when in more recent past I was dealt the cruel blow of workplace injury became completely incapacitated; but do you know what...I went overseas for work; in Canada I do not even qualify for insurance any longer Good luck and may some kind messages and friends be in your near future.
